Jonatan Lucca was gutted following FC Pune City’s 1-0 loss at the hands of FC Goa in their 2016 Hero Indian Super League fixture at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium in Balewadi on Thursday. The Brazilian completed the full 90 minutes as Rafael Coelho’s stunning 32nd-minute free-kick condemned the Stallions to the bottom of the table. Lucca completed one interception, one clearance, one successful take-on and two blocks against his former side as Pune’s search for their first home win of the season continues. The 22-year-old spoke to indiansuperleague.com after the match and shared his thoughts on the loss. Here are the excerpts from the interview. It was a tough result, what are your thoughts? It is a difficult situation to be in, to lose a game at home. But I ask the supporters to believe in us because we still have seven games to go and we will keep working hard. You dominated the game quite a bit, how does it feel to still end up on the losing side? It’s never easy to play a game here, all the games are difficult. However, we need to continue working hard because we still have seven games to go. I believe in my team and my coach.Your next game is in three days against ATK at home, what are you going to do differently? We don’t have any more excuses, we have to win. We have to finish every opportunity now.
