Kean Lewis will be looking to kick on from where he left off against Chennaiyin FC when Delhi Dynamos FC take on Kerala Blasters FC in their 2016 Hero Indian Super League match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi on Sunday. The 24-year-old capped off a solid performance against the defending champions with an assist as the Dynamos produced a clinical showing to emerge 3-1 victors a couple of days ago. Delhi will be hoping for their second successive win against the Blasters on Sunday. Lewis spoke to indiansuperleague.com ahead of the clash. Here are the excerpts from the interview. You had a brilliant game against Chennaiyin. What are your thoughts on that match and how are you preparing for the season?I think we came together really well as a team in the last game. We worked really hard in the pre-season and also in Delhi after coming back from our foreign trips. Last game was good and it was good to play. Difficult yes, but we found our rhythm, dominated the second half and came away with a win. I am glad to be on the assist sheet but I should have had a goal as well. Yeah, it’s a positive note for the team to get the three points in the first game. You are going to play in front of a big crowd tomorrow. What are your thoughts on your opponents and what are you expecting tomorrow?Yeah, it’s going to be a big crowd tomorrow and I have heard it’s intimidating. I am going to play for the first time in Kerala tomorrow but I can’t say I have not played in front of a big crowd before, playing abroad I have seen a large number of spectators. Yeah, it is going to be a tough game tomorrow, trying to beat them at home. The coaches have done their research on the other team and we’ll know tomorrow our game strategy, where we have to dominate and where we have to be alert. You have a lot of back-to-back matches in this league. So how are you able to keep up and are there any particular strategies to deal with that?Yeah, you know it’s a short league with many games to play so every three–four days you are either playing a game or travelling. Very little time for recovery. So it’s very important that we eat right. We have our doctors and nutritionists helping us with our diet and the physio always taking care of the recovery training. We have a big squad, a good squad and I have said this before, every player can step in and take the position of another player and perform as well as the playing eleven. So we are never going to have a problem if someone else has to step in. Everyone is going to give their 100% and hopefully they can do the job as well.
