Mumbai City FC’s dynamic attacking midfielder Lalrindika Ralte (fondly known as Didika) had another solid outing against NorthEast United FC tonight, but ended up on the losing side as the Highlanders registered a 2-0 win on Mumbai’s home ground. Didika was a constant menace throughout, however, and caught the eye of match observers as he was presented with the “Fittest Player of the Match” award after the game. www.indiansuperleague.com caught up with the Mizoram-born winger for a post-match interview. This is your second loss of the season this one being at home, how do you feel about it?We feel really bad to have let down the fans and we hope we can improve from this. You had plenty of chances in throughout the match, what do you think was the problem in the finishing today? We tried really hard to get the goal and we did create some really good chances, but we got a red card, Ljungberg went off injured and they scored 2 goals so, this is football, you never know what to expect. You were still in with a chance when they were 1-0 up. How did you feel when they scored the second goal?We did try to equalize towards the end but their counter-attack was top class and we were pretty short in defence. You are an emerging star in Indian football. How do you feel about the platform that the ISL has given you?It feels really good to play for Mumbai, this will surely take the country forward and take the Indian players forward as well. We get to practise and learn from some of the best in the world. The crowd support has also been incredible and we can finally give our 100% in front of our own people.
