Kerala Blasters FC’s last match of season against Delhi Dynamos FC in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) ended in a 3-3 draw at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Thursday. Only a last-gasp effort from Sehnaj Singh prevented the yellow army from ending their season with a win. Sandesh Jhingan, who has been a mainstay at the heart of Kerala’s defence for majority of the season, spoke to indiansuperleague.com shortly after the match and reflected on the Blasters’ disappointing campaign. Here are the excerpts from the interview.Last minute goal! How gutted are you with the result?Of course, we wanted to win and it’s disappointing to concede so late. I hope we can work on these mistakes in the future.Compared to your fortunes last year, what do you think went wrong this time?Had we known what went wrong, we would have rectified it. But that is just what football is all about. There are times when you’re up and there are times when you’re down. Hopefully next year, we’ll bounce back stronger."It’s been a bad season and we need to move past that."Sandesh JhinganDo you think Kerala deserved a better result tonight? It’s quite disappointing for defenders when you concede so late. We wish we hadn’t done that but there’s always hope. What are the positives that you can take away from this season?Personally, not much but as a team we surely do need to work on our mistakes and be more consistent. Also, we need to stop conceding these last-minute goals. It’s been a bad season and we need to move past that.
