Chennaiyin FC reached the final of the 2015 Hero Indian Super League despite a 2-1 defeat against defending champions Atlético de Kolkata in the second leg of their semi-final clash at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on Wednesday. A Fikru Teferra goal in stoppage time made it 4-2 on aggregate for the Super Machans and cemented their berth in the final to be played on December 20. Jeje Lalpekhlua, who has netted six times thus far for Chennai, spoke to indiansuperleague.com in an exclusive chat shortly after the match. Here are the excerpts from the interview.Now that you’ve reached the final, how does it feel?It feels amazing. We have got exactly what we came for. Tonight we were lucky but for the final game we need to concentrate much more.Five wins in a row for Chennai before today’s loss, what do you have to say on that?It’s nothing but team work.
