Atlético de Kolkata’s Jakub Podaný got a start today because of influential Spanish midfielder Borja Fernández's suspension. The 27-year-old midfielder from the Czech Republic, who scored in the earlier away match against NorthEast United FC in their 0-2 win, shares his impressions with indiansuperleague.com after his side were held to a 1-1 draw by Delhi Dynamos FC in Kolkata. Here are some excerpts:After winning the first two games what do you make of your first draw?We were leading by one goal and we were in a really good situation, but we conceded a really good goal and it was 1-1. Towards the end we really tried to get all three points, but we couldn’t, so we will try to get the points the next time. What did you think of Delhi’s equaliser? It was a shot from out of the box into the top corner, it was very difficult to stop and the player (Pavel Eliáš) did really well to generate that kind of shot. But we will try to defend better next time."We will try to defend better next time."Jakub PodanýHow did you feel facing up to the likes of Alessandro Del Piero?Well, you do think about it a lot before the game, but not on the pitch. You just think that you’re up against 11 players, even if Del Piero is one of them. What do you think of the Indian boys in your team?I think they are playing well. I think they’ve showed incredible fitness and they are certainly quality players. What did you feel about this Kolkata crowd? The fans are great and I really want to thank them. The city is also great and I hope that we get the same turnout and same support in the next game.
