FC Goa travel to the home of two-time Hero Indian Super League (ISL) champions ATK for another firm test of their title and playoff credentials. The Gaurs missed the chance to consolidate their position at the top of the table last time around against Bengaluru, and instead gave Carles Cuadrat’s men the opportunity to stake their own claim at the summit.

Ahead of their fixture, indiansuperleague.com caught up for an exclusive interview with the impressive Gaurs youngster, Jackichand Singh. Here are a few excerpts from the same.

Thoughts on your personal good run of form.

Yes, for me it’s very lucky and nice that with I’m getting a regular spot in the FC Goa team and also that my performance and playing style has changed a lot. So, I feel very good about it.

What is it like to play with Ferran Corominas and Edu Bedia?

Edu and Ferran Corominas are both very good players. Everyone knows that they’ve been playing well for FC Goa for two seasons now and I really enjoy playing with them. I don’t want to say individually who is the better player, we play well together as a team. We’ve won five matches out of eight so we’re very happy about that.

Thoughts on the match against ATK.

ATK’s players are good and the team is good. So, the match will be a little difficult, but we’ll be ready for the three points.

How does it feel to be back in Kolkata?

Whenever I come to Kolkata, I feel good and I see the fans here and how passionate they are for football so that makes me really happy to be here.
