Iain Hume got his Hero Indian Super League Season 2 campaign off to a flying start with a typically gritty and lung-bursting performance in Atlético de Kolkata’s 3-2 over Chennaiyin FC on Saturday night. The former Kerala Blasters FC man seems to have settled in seamlessly with his new team-mates, and was involved in virtually all the Atlético de Kolkata attacks at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai. His link-up play with his strike partner Hélder Postiga will especially be a matter of concern for opposition defenders as the season progresses. He played a key role in Kolkata’s third goal that offered the visitors a bit of breathing space with an inch-perfect cross that found the head of substitute striker Valdo.
