Table toppers Bengaluru FC will square off against bottom-placed Chennaiyin FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Saturday. Three points from the match will ensure Bengaluru's qualification in this season's play-offs.

Ahead of the impending clash, indiansuperleague.com caught up with Bengaluru's Gurpreet Singh Sandhu to know his views about the match. Here are the excerpts.

Thoughts on the match considering the team is one win away from qualification.

It’s an important match for us for sure because it can secure us a semi-final spot. So we’ll try our best to get those points and playing against Chennaiyin FC is always a great opportunity, they are a tough team to play against so we’ll make sure that we are strong.

Will Chennaiyin FC’s form be an advantage for your side?

Yes, mentally it might be an advantage for us. Things haven’t worked out well for them but as I’ve said every single team in the Hero ISL wants to perform at their best against Bengaluru FC. So we just need to prepare ourselves and make sure that we play to our strengths.

How important is Miku's return from injury?

It's very crucial. I mean, we suffered without Miku, playing almost seven to eight matches without your top striker is very difficult. But somehow we managed to get some results on the board but over time it does become difficult. So it’s a big boost for us as a team that Miku is back and is getting into shape going into the end of the season.
