Raju Gaikwad completed the full 90 minutes for FC Goa during their 0-0 draw with Mumbai City FC in front of almost 19,000 fans at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda on Wednesday. The stalemate saw Mumbai rise to second in the 2016 Hero Indian Super League, while the Gaurs moved off the bottom of the table. Gaikwad, who helped his side to their third clean sheet of the season, completed two blocks, three interceptions and six clearances against Mumbai. The 26-year-old spoke to indiansuperleague.com shortly after the final whistle. Here are the excerpts from the interview.You were the better team on the field today, the result still didn’t go your way. What are your thoughts on the match?We worked hard, but unluckily we couldn’t score in the last minute [Julio Cesar’s chance]. I think we were unlucky today.You played attacking football and created a lot of chances. Was the plan to score early and close the game?If we had got the goal we would have attacked more. In the second half, we attacked more.Are injuries hurting the team?A lot of players are injured and there are many players returning after injuries. But everyone gave their best today we were very unlucky.
