The 2015 Hero Indian Super League’s second phase will start with Delhi Dynamos FC taking on FC Goa in the first leg of their semi-final at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Friday. Delhi go into this pressure-match having never beaten FC Goa in their four earlier attempts. Lions striker Richard Gadze, who has been in fine form this season with four goals to his name, is likely to play a major role over the two legs. The Ghanaian frontman, spoke to indiansuperleague.com in an exclusive interview before the first semi-final of the season. Here are the excerpts from the interview. You’ve played Goa twice already this season and lost on both occasions. Will that have any bearing on the match tomorrow?Yeah, sure. I think we’re a little under pressure. Tomorrow’s game will be a difficult one. They have the upper hand. But for me it’s good that we lost, so we will buck up in the semi-finals. We will try to win the first game tomorrow and then go to Goa to fight for a draw or perhaps a win.Delhi’s goal-scoring has been shared by different players. It has not been one player getting 10-12 goals. As a striker, what do you think about that?I think it’s good. Let’s say only I score, then it’s a big problem when I don’t score but now we can score through Adil Nabi and Gustavo do Santos, almost everyone can score. It’s a collective effort and I think it will help us in the semi-finals.Carlos has tinkered with the attack a fair bit this season. Who is it you have best chemistry with on the pitch? We have a strong team. Everyone is good to play and we understand each other both on and off the pitch. I can’t say I play well with Nabi or Robin Singh. Everyone is good. For us, your job is to play for Delhi and know that you’re a good player and know what the coach is asking. I think everybody is good to play with so I can’t take just one name."If I get a chance to come back, why not? I will come and play for Delhi again."Richard GadzeSo far, which one has been the toughest defence for you to break down?Almost every team is good but I think it’s Goa. My first game against them in Goa was very frustrating. I think they have the toughest team. It’s going to be a problem [to face them again in the semi-finals] but this is football and anything can happen. What will be Delhi’s approach in the first leg tomorrow? For me I think we will stick to our normal style of play - pass and go. Nothing will change about our style of play. We might be under pressure but nothing is going to change. We are just going to play our game and hope to win.Do you think the defence has been a little vulnerable of late? When you’ve played 14 games, everyone is tired. It’s a problem for us and I think it’s a general problem for every team. You can see everyone is tired but I think we will solve this problem.Would you like to return for another season in the ISL next year?I haven’t thought about it. Coming back, I need to think again…If I get a chance to come back, why not? I will come and play for Delhi again.
