Jamshedpur FC's hopes of reaching the Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2018-19 semifinals went up in smoke after a goalless draw against bottom-placed Chennaiyin FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on Saturday. The result saw the Miners crash out of the race and sent NorthEast United FC through to the next stage along with Bengaluru FC, FC Goa and Mumbai City FC.

A disappointed Farukh Choudhary joined indiansuperleague.com for a post-match interview and here's what he said.

Thoughts on the match.

I don't know what to say now. We got a few chances and (Michael) Soosairaj had scored there. I don't know whether it was an offside or not. It is really sad that we are not going to qualify.

A word on the fans.

The fans are always amazing. They travel and we have fans in the away matches as well. We have great support at home. Thank you so much. I am sorry we couldn't qualify for the semi-finals.

From Chennaiyin's end, Isaac Vanmalsawma shared his two cents about the match.

Thoughts on the match.

Yeah, it was a good match for both the teams. They also had a chance to win as they were tough opponents. So, it was a good match.

What are your thoughts on the upcoming AFC Cup fixtures?

We are prepared for the AFC Cup. So, we will give our best there and also in the remaining Hero ISL match. We are looking forward to the AFC Cup.

A message for the fans.
