Anas Edathodika put in another solid performance at the back to guide Delhi Dynamos FC to their second successive clean sheet as the Lions beat Kerala Blasters FC 2-0 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Friday. Kean Lewis opened the scoring in the 56th minute and Marcelinho added a second on the hour mark to send the Lions to the top of the table. The Indian centre-back ended the game with a passing accuracy of 80% and completed one interception, three clearances and four blocks. Edathodika also bagged his second consecutive Hero-of-the-Match award to cap off the Dynamos' first home win in style. The 29-year-old spoke to indiansuperleague.com after the game and shared his thoughts. Here are the excerpts from the interview.How does it feel being at the top of the table?It feels great and I am happy and the young players are playing well and everyone is working hard and we will continue to fight and work to keep being at the top of the table.You are originally from Kerala, so was there a bittersweet feeling for you?I think Kerala is a strong team and they are physically strong and it was great getting the three points against them and I am very happy to also get the Hero of the Match against them.What do you have to say about your battle with Mohammed Rafi?Rafi is a great player from Kerala and I respect him a lot but I'll fight even if my father was my opponent.Tell us a bit about head coach Gianluca Zambrotta's influence…The coach is very experienced and he gives us great advice and he is very good.Are you ensuring that your never-say-die attitude is spreading well within the team?The senior players like Ruben Rocha and Malouda tell us to fight and not give up, especially Malouda he always tells us to fight and give our best.
