Dudu Omagbemi took just two matches to make his mark in the 2015 Hero Indian Super League. The Nigerian striker, who replaced the injured Darryl Duffy early this month, scored a hat-trick against Mumbai City FC earlier this week and helped FC Goa register the biggest win (7-0) in the history of the league. Dude, who played for FC Pune City last season, spoke to indiansuperleague.com ahead of his team’s game against defending champions Atlético de Kolkata at the Salt Lake Stadium on Sunday and discussed his hat-trick and this team’s prospects this year. Here are the excerpts from the interview.A hat-trick in your second match this season. How does it feel?It feels really good you know, when you have good people behind you, around you. It was a great game plan and we played quite well. The team helped me a lot to get the goals and I was happy about my performance. Are you hopeful that Goa will win this year?Definitely. They have got a really good team. We have got good support back home and we have been working really hard for this. I think this time you’ll see a lot from us.You joined the ISL quite late, was it difficult to adjust? No as a professional you know. I got a few days with them. I was given the first chance in Pune which wasn’t bad and then the second chance in Goa. I’ve trained with the team for quite a while and I have got used to them really very fast. So I picked up from there."I think this time you’ll see a lot from us."Dudu OmagbemiYou’ve got previous experience of playing in Kolkata, would that be an advantage in this match?Well, both teams are running now to get to the top and it is not going to be very easy for us. We’ll always keep to the same style, what we played in the last game. I don’t think I have support here. I think I have my support now in Goa. My team is now FC Goa and I live now in Goa. So we will give what we have tomorrow and we hopefully get the three points. Is there anything you want to share about your team-mates?They are fantastic. They are amazing and they are very funny. Like we have got good unity amongst the players. Things I have never expected I get to see here and no matter how professional they are, they communicate well with the young ones. It’s a great atmosphere here. I love it here.
