There will be little contention over the fact that Brandon Fernandes has been nothing short of sensational for FC Goa this season. The youngster has truly transcended his already stellar reputation to make himself an integral part of the current Gaurs forward line alongside juggernauts like Ferran Corominas, Edu Bedia and Jackichand Singh. However, Sunday's Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2018-19 final against Bengaluru FC will prove to be the 24-year-old's biggest challenge to date.

Ahead of the all-important tie, indiansuperleague.com caught up with Brandon for an exclusive pre-match interview. Here are the excerpts.

On the Hero ISL 2018-19 final.

Of course, it is a big match for us, for both the teams. In fact, there will be a lot of pressure on the teams and both of them will want to win this match to become the champions of India. So it’ll be a tough match. We will have to keep calm and go according to our head coach’s plans.

How is the team approaching the match?

Like I said, it is a big match and its important for every player. I am looking forward to playing in the final and so is everyone else.

Which Bengaluru FC player will pose the biggest threat to FC Goa in the final?

Bengaluru are a very good team, a very organised unit. They have very good quality of players. So, maybe Miku will pose a threat to us.

What will be FC Goa's game plan to tackle Bengaluru FC?

We will concentrate on how we want to play and we’ll stick to our plans, playing with the ball and keeping possession. We will have to defend very well because they have a really good attack and their midfield is also very good. We will have to keep it compact on the field and obviously, not let them have an opportunity at goal.

Any message for the fans.

I just want to say that be there in large numbers and support us because we will be trying our best to try and get the trophy home.
