Mumbai City FC travel to Jamshedpur to take on the home team Jamshedpur FC in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2017-18 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Friday. Balwant Singh, who’s been instrumental for the Islanders this season with five goals to his name so far, is also the season’s top scorer amongst the domestic players. Speaking to the indiansuperleague.com before the game, he shared his thoughts on the campaign and the upcoming fixture. Here are the excerpts.

You’re currently the highest scoring domestic player this season. What are your thoughts on your own performance?

I’m very happy with my performance. I want to keep doing this. I will try to score as many as I can.

What are your thoughts on head coach Alexandre Guimaraes and his style of play?

He’s a great coach. He’s a great man-manager. He knows how to do well with this team. I’m very happy and grateful to play under him.

Now that you’ve been with the team for a while, who would you say has the best sense of humour?

I think Amrinder Singh.

And who has the best dance moves?

It will be Biswajit Saha.

Who could make it as a singer?

Sehnaj Singh can.

Tomorrow you play a defensively solid Jamshedpur FC who’re struggling at home. Your thoughts on the same?

No, I don’t think so. They are doing great. They have more clean sheets than anyone. Their defence is very strong. On the other hand, we are also doing great. We won the last two matches and hopefully, we’ll continue with that.
