Sanjay Balmuchu can expect his eighth start for FC Goa in Hero Indian Super League 2016 when they take on NorthEast United FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda on Friday. The Gaurs will be desperate for their first home win this season as they look to avenge their 2-0 loss against the Highlanders last month. Balmuchu has completed four blocks, seven successful tackles, 10 clearances and 15 interceptions for the Gaurs this season and will have a crucial role to play in midfield on Friday. Now you have three home games in a row, so will you be looking to get maximum points from them?Now we have three home games and it is very important to win all of them. This is football, so nothing is impossible.You are one of the youngest members of the squad. How has the ISL experience been?Yes, this is my first ISL and I am getting a lot of experience and it is great to get an opportunity to play with great players like Lucio and Gregory Arnolin.NorthEast United FC also need wins desperately. What do you make of them?Yes, they will also play to win now as it is important for them too. This is our home game, so the pressure is on us as we want to make our fans happy, and a win will help us.Now moving further, what will be the strategy for you to qualify for the semis?The strategy now, as coach Zico says, is to play attacking football as we don’t have any other options. We have to win the remaining matches.
