Week 5 of the Hero ISL-Dream11 Fantasy came to an end on Sunday with the SC East Bengal-Kerala Blasters FC game. In other important results during the week gone by, Mumbai City FC and Jamshedpur FC ended Hyderabad FC and NorthEast United FC’s unbeaten start to the campaign respectively. ‘Royal Academy Of India’ was last week’s Hero ISL-Dream11 winner after accumulating a total of 2628.5 points. Here, we look at the top performing stars from Week 5 as well as a few players to watch out for in the upcoming week.

Dream11 MVP of the Week

Jacques Maghoma (SC East Bengal) - 161 Dream11 points

Jacques Maghoma had a strong week for SC East Bengal, scoring the team’s first goals in the league. Maghoma scored twice against Hyderabad but couldn’t prevent SC East Bengal from going down 3-2. Maghoma earned 102 Dream11 points as well as a player rating of 9.52 against Hyderabad. Against Kerala Blasters FC, he had a decent outing too.

Key performers from Week 5

Aridane Santana (Hyderabad FC) - 134 Dream11 points

Aridane Santana scored twice and inspired Hyderabad to a hard-fought win against SC East Bengal. After missing a penalty, Santana scored twice in less than one minute to push Robbie Fowler’s men on the back foot. In addition to his player rating of 9.12, Santana also collected 113 Dream11 points. However, against Mumbai City he had a quiet outing.

Ahmed Jahouh (Mumbai City FC) - 109 Dream11 points

One of the best players for Mumbai City FC this season, Ahmed Jahouh has replicated his form from the last couple of seasons in the Hero ISL. Jahouh created three chances against Jamshedpur FC and had a passing accuracy of 73% as well. The midfielder received a playing rating of 7.95 besides collecting 62 Dream11 points. Jahouh had a decent game against Hyderabad too.

Hero ISL Dream11 Recruiter: Players to look out for

In addition to the abovementioned players, here are a couple of names to keep an eye on in Week 6 of Hero ISL 2020-21.

Nerijus Valskis for Jamshedpur FC against FC Goa

The Jamshedpur FC striker has been among the best players for his side, scoring six of their eight goals in Hero ISL 2020-21. Nerijus Valskis failed to find the net in their 1-0 win over the Highlanders but on December 23 against a leaky FC Goa defence who have kept just one clean sheet this season, Owen Coyle will expect another top-notch performance from Valskis, who already has 353 Dream11 points this season.

Rafael Crivellaro for Chennaiyin FC against SC East Bengal

After a quiet start to Hero ISL 2020-21, Rafael Crivellaro scored once and even assisted the winner against FC Goa. The Brazilian midfielder received a strong player rating of 8.77 besides also collecting 76 Dream11 points. In fact, the goal scored by Crivellaro was from a direct corner, third goal ever from a direct corner in the history of the Hero ISL. Csaba Laszlo can expect him to shine again in their match against SC East Bengal on December 26.
