With the Diwali festivities kicking in, players and clubs across the Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) celebrated the special occasion together. Over the week, social media was rife with clubs, players and managers displaying their experiences enjoying the festival of lights. Here are the best of the lot:

A few players from FC Goa gathered together in traditional attire and soaked in the festivities while also indulging in a few Indian delicacies.

NorthEast United dressed up in blue attire to spend Diwali as a team. Players including Rowllin Borges and Jose Leudo seemed in especially buoyant spirits.

A few other clubs including ATK, FC Pune City, Kerala Blasters and Jamshedpur took to social media to wish their fans a joyous week of celebrations.

Chennaiyin’s veteran defender Inigo Calderon decided to revel in the festivities by reliving his goal against FC Pune City which helped the defending champions clinch their first victory of the season.

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu encouraged all to have a happy and safe Diwali in his Twitter post.

Bengaluru are sitting pretty at the top of the table, winning three games on the trot. Head coach Carles Cuadrat reminded the rest of us of his team’s impressive form while also taking out the time to wish fans on Diwali.

English Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur also wished the league and the clubs on this auspicious day.
