Over the last couple of days, all of India has been gripped by the Diwali festivities, with everyone joining in the celebration to spread the spirit of the festival of lights. Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) clubs and players, too, got involved, with some of them even conveying across some very important messages through social media.

Defending champions, Bengaluru FC, for instance, reminded everyone to always have an eye out for our planet. Striker and legend, Sunil Chhetri, meanwhile, was tuned to the emotions of those spending the festive season away from their families – just like the Blues will be, given their upcoming match away to FC Goa on Monday.

Former champions, Chennaiyin FC had their own way of commemorating the occasion, and wished their fans a safe and cheerful Diwali with a little help from the players.

ATK, Kerala Blasters, FC Goa, NorthEast United FC, Jamshedpur FC and Mumbai City FC also extended their warm wishes on the auspicious occasion.

Hero ISL’s newest members, Odisha FC and Hyderabad FC joined in as well, tweeting out heartfelt messages for their fans.

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, John Burridge and Sandesh Jhingan were some of the members from the playing and coaching staff who celebrated the occasion with the fans.
