Sandesh Jhingan has been one of the exceptional young talents on display in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL). The versatile 21-year-old defender who hails from Chandigarh, has been one of Kerala Blasters FC’s most consistent performers and has earned several plaudits for his composure and maturity by playing in a variety of positions in the backline. On the eve of the final against Atlético de Kolkata on Saturday, indiansuperleague.com caught up with the Jhingan and asked him to do a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis of the opposition. Here is what Jhingan came up with:Strengths: According to me, Kolkata have an extremely solid midfield. Luis García, Borja Fernández, Ofentse Nato and Jofre are all exceptional midfielders. We need to be vary of them as they often pack the middle of the park and exert pressure. They have shown their class time and again and they will be fired up for the final. Weaknesses: I think that we can exploit Kolkata’s defence as we have a very good forward line. I am sure that we will create chances. We have done so against them previously.Opportunities: García will be their main creative man. He will be pulling all the strings. But, for me, Borja’s influence in midfield will be a huge factor. He is one of the top tacklers in the ISL, and to top it off, he is an extremely good passer of the ball. Kolkata’s opportunities will stem from Borja in the middle of the park and we will have to curb that.Threats: García and Fernández will be their main threats. We will have to keep an eye on them.
