ISL Fantasy MW11 Deadline: Monday, December 18, 6:30* PM IST *Early Deadline

Points are up for grabs for Indian Super League (ISL) managers as Matchweek 11 is set to be another double Matchweek, following in the footsteps of Matchweek 10. This marks the second consecutive double matchweek and the third one this season. Mumbai City FC will play twice, as will Mohun Bagan Super Giant.

Given the short turnaround for Matchweek 11, ISL fantasy players should consider bringing in players from Mumbai City FC and Mohun Bagan SG. However, it's crucial to note that three teams - Bengaluru FC, East Bengal, and Hyderabad FC - will have blank fixtures in the following Matchweek. Therefore, managers should ensure they have 11 starting players or close to that for Matchweek 12, which will be the final round before the international break.

Matchweek 10 Summary

Mumbai City FC and Bengaluru FC played two fixtures in Matchweek 10, providing ISL Fantasy managers with players from both teams a high-scoring experience. Out of the seven matches played, two ended in goalless draws, with Mumbai City FC being involved in both.

Seven players recorded double-digit figures. Mumbai City FC’s defensive quartet of Rahul Bheke, Akash Mishra, Mehtab Singh, and Phurba Lachenpa registered 12 points, alongside Odisha FC’s Mourtada Fall, who scored and kept a clean sheet in his side’s 2-0 win over Hyderabad FC. Rafael Crivellaro and Roy Krishna scored 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Matchweek 11: What to expect?

Matchweek 11 commences with Punjab FC hosting Chennaiyin FC. Notably, all three unbeaten teams - FC Goa, Mohun Bagan SG, and Mumbai City FC - are slated to confront each other, setting the stage for potential upheavals in the top half of the table.

The Mariners embark on a challenging journey, starting with an away game against Mumbai City FC, followed by a home encounter against FC Goa in Kolkata. Meanwhile, the Islanders gear up for a clash with Kerala Blasters FC post their face-off with MBSG.

Hyderabad FC and Jamshedpur FC will engage in a pivotal battle at the GMC Balayogi Athletic Stadium, both eager to put an end to their poor form.

The excitement continues on Friday with a highly anticipated clash between East Bengal FC and Odisha FC. Following Mohun Bagan SG's showdown with FC Goa on Saturday, Sunday's doubleheader unfolds with Bengaluru FC hosting NorthEast United FC in another home fixture, preceding Kerala Blasters FC's high-stakes match against the Islanders.

What the managers are thinking?

Transferred INs

As Kerala Blasters FC captain Adrian Luna faces an extended period on the sidelines, ISL Fantasy managers are now focused on securing a suitable replacement. Popular alternatives gaining traction among managers include Ahmed Jahouh, Rafael Crivellaro, and Javi Hernandez, with the first two being particularly favored.

Following impressive back-to-back double-digit performances, Akash Mishra has emerged as the most sought-after defender among transfers. Additionally, the forward position sees heightened interest in Kerala Blasters FC's Dimitrios Diamantakos, making him the preferred choice among ISL Fantasy managers in that category.

Top Picks for Matchweek 11

Armando Sadiku (Mohun Bagan SG)

Armando Sadiku has consistently held a spot in the starting lineup for Mohun Bagan SG in recent games in the absence of the injured Dimitri Petratos. Sadiku has showcased his value, scoring three goals in the last four games. He is in fine form at the moment and currently his team’s joint-leading goalscorer alongside Jason Cummings.

Jorge Diaz (Mumbai City FC)

Jorge Diaz experienced a goal drought in both matches during Matchweek 10, yet he maintains his status as the season's top goalscorer. Despite being unlucky in his recent outings, Diaz has been a constant starter for Mumbai City FC in all ISL matches. With another double Matchweek approaching, Diaz has the potential to shine.

Akash Mishra (Mumbai City FC)

Mishra registered two clean sheets in the games against FC Goa and East Bengal FC, rewarding his managers who placed trust in him. Mumbai City FC are looking like one of the strongest defensive units this season and with Mishra’s attacking capability, the full-back could once again deliver double digit figures.

Top Differential Picks for Matchweek 11

Greg Stewart (Mumbai City FC)

Greg Stewart may have contributed only a goal and two assists in eight games for Mumbai City FC, but he continues to be a key player in their attacking lineup. Taking charge of set-piece duties and serving as the primary chance creator, Stewart provides a differential option for fantasy managers.

Jason Cummings (Mohun Bagan SG)

Jason Cummings showcased his goal-scoring prowess by finding the net in Mohun Bagan SG’s victory against NorthEast United FC, securing his third goal of the season. With Dimitri Petratos gradually regaining fitness, Cummings is anticipated to maintain his place in the starting eleven. Known for his clinical finishing, he could be reward his owners again.

Captaincy Pick: Jorge Diaz

With the advantage of another double Matchweek, Jorge Diaz stands out as the strongest and most reliable captaincy option. Despite facing challenging opponents both at home and away, Diaz has proven his ability to deliver in significant matchups. As the highest-scoring forward in ISL Fantasy thus far, the Argentine forward remains a consistent performer.
