After an exciting round of fixtures in Matchweek 13, we witnessed some stellar performances across the Indian Super League (ISL).

The week was packed with drama, featuring standout performances and key results. East Bengal FC impressed with two contrasting victories over Punjab FC and Jamshedpur FC. FC Goa made a statement by defeating table-toppers Mohun Bagan SG. Mumbai City FC continued their defensive solidity with a third consecutive win, and Kerala Blasters FC bounced back with a much-needed victory. Meanwhile, NorthEast United FC staged a stunning comeback against Hyderabad FC to secure a 5-2 win.

TP Rehenesh (Mumbai City FC)

Rehenesh delivered yet another commanding performance between the sticks, showcasing his exceptional reflexes and composure under pressure. With him in goal and following their win against Chennaiyin FC, the Islanders extended their streak to four consecutive clean sheets in the league. In the match, he made a crucial save in the 70th minute, diving to his bottom left corner to secure three points for his side.

Odei Onaindia (FC Goa) - Captain

FC Goa extended their unbeaten run to seven matches with a 2-1 victory over league leaders Mohun Bagan Super Giant. Onaindia led the defence with authority, making crucial interventions and organizing the backline to ensure FC Goa’s solidity at the back.

Milos Drincic (Kerala Blasters FC)

Kerala Blasters FC bounced back to winning form with a commanding 3-0 victory over Mohammedan SC, with Drincic serving as a defensive stalwart, combining physicality with calm distribution. The centre-back won ten of his 14 duels and maintained a passing accuracy of 92.1%.

Midfielders

Noah Sadaoui (Kerala Blasters FC)

Noah Sadaoui played a pivotal role in Kerala Blasters FC's commanding 3-0 victory over Mohammedan SC, delivering a stellar second-half performance. He not only scored in the 80th minute but also helped his team bounce back from three consecutive losses. Throughout the match, Sadaoui created chances and was consistently involved, registering 10 touches in the opposition's box, constantly threatening their defence.

Anwar Ali (East Bengal FC)

Anwar Ali has proven to be one of the team's most valuable assets. His versatility has been crucial, excelling not only as a commanding centre-back but also as a makeshift midfielder when needed. Ali's performances in the ISL have been solid, as seen in their wins against Punjab FC and Jamshedpur FC. He made six clearances, four interceptions, and won back possession 17 times.

Lalrinliana Hnamte (Chennaiyin FC)

Hnamte delivered a solid performance for Chennaiyin FC despite their away defeat to Mumbai City FC. He won all seven of his tackles and was a dominant presence in duels, winning twelve out of fourteen contested. Additionally, he contributed with two key interceptions, playing a crucial role in breaking down the opposition's attacks.

Brison Fernandes (FC Goa)

Brison Fernandes delivered a standout performance as FC Goa secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Mohun Bagan Super Giant. The winger scored a brace, finding the back of the net in each half. His first goal came in the 12th minute, and he sealed his brace in the 68th minute, finishing off a well-timed cross from Borja Herrera's to restore FC Goa’s lead. His clinical finishing and attacking presence were key in earning the Gaurs all three points.

Guillermo Fernández delivered a standout performance in NorthEast United FC's 4-2 win over Hyderabad FC. The Spanish forward played a pivotal role, scoring a brilliant brace and providing an assist, demonstrating his clinical finishing and creativity in the attacking third. His sharp movement and technical skills were crucial in breaking down Hyderabad FC’s defence, helping NorthEast United FC snap their two-match losing streak.

Edmilson Correia (Hyderabad FC)

Despite the loss to NorthEast United FC, Hyderabad FC came out strong at the start, with Edmilson Correia leading the charge. Correia, with some nimble footwork, gave his team an early lead and then scored again in the 12th minute, putting Hyderabad FC 2-0 up early in the game. He delivered a clinical performance, scoring two goals, exceeding his expected goals (0.12). With perfect shooting accuracy, he converted both of his attempts into goals, demonstrating his ability to capitalize on limited chances and make a decisive impact on his team.

PV Vishnu (East Bengal FC)

PV Vishnu delivered an exceptional performance this season, contributing 1 goal and 1 assist in East Bengal FC's home wins against Punjab FC and Jamshedpur FC. He was a constant threat in the opposition’s box, recording 15 touches and winning six of his ten dribbles. His ability to create space and drive the attack made him a key figure in his team’s offensive play. The 22-year-old winger combines creativity with precise dribbling, delivering inviting crosses into the box.
