ISL 2024-25: Fans' Team of the Season
After four phases of intense fan voting, the moment has arrived — here's the 2024-25 Fans' Team of the Season.

The 2024-25 Indian Super League (ISL) season had it all — drama, dominance, and double delight for Mohun Bagan Super Giant, who lifted both the League Shield and the ISL Cup.
To celebrate a memorable season, fans were given the chance to vote for their Team of the Season from a shortlist of 44 standout players, set in a 4-3-3 formation, plus one head coach. The voting took place over four phases from May 5 to May 16.
When the dust settled, MBSG dominated the final XI with eight players, along with their title-winning coach Jose Molina. FC Goa, Jamshedpur FC, and NorthEast United FC each had one representative.
Here’s how the fans voted:
Vishal Kaith (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)
Kaith was a crucial figure in MBSG’s double-winning campaign. He managed a record-setting 15 clean sheets in a single season, which also earned him the Golden Glove award – his second in three seasons with the Mariners. He was the outright winner in his position with 70.28% of the votes.
Boris Singh (FC Goa)
Boris Singh was in a close contest with Punjab FC’s Abhishek Singh for the right-back position, but the Gaurs' defender edged ahead with a 37.66% voting share, compared to Abhishek’s 35.92%. Boris was redeployed as a right-back by Manolo Marquez and was quite tidy in his role, contributing both defensively and while going forward.
Tom Aldred (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)
Aldred earned 63.42% of the votes to secure his place in the Fans’ Team of the Season. The centre-back slotted comfortably into the team’s setup, playing a crucial role. His calming presence at the back was vital for the Mariners.
Alberto Rodriguez (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)
Rodriguez was another key figure in his debut season at the club. Together with Aldred, he formed a formidable partnership, establishing an almost impenetrable defensive wall. The Spaniard received 67.54% of the fans’ votes to be included in the team.
Subhasish Bose (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)
The captain of the Mariners was instrumental not only in helping the team keep the most clean sheets this season but also in being a goal threat from set-pieces. Bose broke the record for most goals by a defender in a season (6). His defensive work rate and leadership were pivotal in guiding his team to a historic double. He received 66.61% of the vote.
Apuia (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)
Apuia has gained a reputation as a defensive mastermind, but this season he showed he’s much more than that. Dominating the midfield, he showcased his defensive attributes and even scored the decisive goal that booked MBSG’s place in the final. A staggering 81.66% of fans voted for him.
Javi Hernandez (Jamshedpur FC)
The Men of Steel defied modern football norms with their unique style under Khalid Jamil, and Hernandez was at the heart of it. The Spanish midfielder contributed nine goals and three assists, earning 46.78% of the votes.
Greg Stewart (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)
Stewart was a key catalyst in MBSG's historic ISL double. He became a mainstay in Jose Molina’s side, with increased freedom and responsibility. Stewart scored three goals and five assists, earning 66.63% of the vote.
Alaaeddine Ajaraie (NorthEast United FC)
The Moroccan forward had a dream debut season in India with the Highlanders. His 30 goal contributions, including 23 goals, earned him both the Golden Boot and the Golden Ball awards – and now, a place in the Fans’ Team of the Season with 67.12% of the vote.
Manvir Singh (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)
With 53.19% of the vote, Manvir Singh was chosen for the right-wing position by the fans. The Indian international played a vital role for his side, contributing five goals and four assists.
Jamie Maclaren (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)
Despite a slow start to life in Indian football, the Aussie marksman found form as the season progressed. Maclaren netted 12 goals and provided two assists, becoming a core part of MBSG’s historic campaign. He earned 42.86% of the vote, finishing ahead of Jesus Jimenez of Kerala Blasters FC.
Jose Molina (Mohun Bagan Super Giant) – Head Coach
Molina made a tough job look easy, guiding the Mariners to a historic ISL double in his debut season. His team displayed grit, determination, and unwavering consistency. With 76.18% of the vote, he was chosen as the head coach in the Fans’ Team of the Season.
