As the competition for the League Shield intensified at the top of the table, the lower half witnessed a frantic push for playoff contention, with crucial wins reshaping the standings.

The football showcased during this matchweek was thrilling, marked by a flurry of goals and standout individual performances, including some strong contenders for the goal of the season. Defenses were put to the test, with some standing firm while others struggled. Notably, the biggest surprise came with FC Goa suffering their first league defeat of the season at the hands of Mohun Bagan Super Giant.

TP Rehenesh, Jamshedpur FC

Rehenesh put on a stellar performance on the field, notably shining in the match against Punjab FC. His standout moment came with a remarkable penalty save against Punjab FC forward Luka Majcen early in the game. Displaying exceptional goalkeeping skills, Rehenesh went on to make a total of seven saves throughout the match, ultimately securing a clean sheet for his team. Rahul Bheke, Mumbai City FC

Ryan Edwards, Chennaiyin FC

In the clash between Chennaiyin FC and Kerala Blasters at home, 30-year-old English defender Edwards showcased a commendable performance. Throughout the game, Edwards demonstrated impeccable decision-making and solid defensive skills, hardly putting a foot wrong. Vikram Partap Singh had an outstanding week, playing a pivotal role in both of Mumbai City FC's victories during Matchweek 15. In the match against East Bengal FC, despite not finding the scoresheet himself, Singh showcased his playmaking abilities by creating numerous scoring opportunities. However, his standout performance of the season unfolded when Mumbai City FC faced Bengaluru FC at home.

During this game, Singh displayed his goal-scoring abilities by opening the scoring with a precise right-footed shot from close range. Undeterred, he continued to shine and secured another goal in the 58th minute with a well-timed header at the far post, beating goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu once again. Jeremy Manzorro, Jamshedpur FC

Manzorro delivered a standout performance in the midfield, leaving an indelible mark in Jamshedpur FC's commanding 4-0 victory over Punjab FC. Displaying his proficiency in set-pieces, Manzorro showcased his skill by scoring two remarkable free-kicks during the match. Additionally, he also provided an assist, contributing significantly to his team's success.

This outstanding display earned Manzorro the well-deserved Player of the Match award. Notably, this marked the second occasion this season that he scored a brace, following his earlier stellar performance in Jamshedpur FC's comeback win against Mumbai City FC.

Joni Kauko, Mohun Bagan SG

The 33-year-old Finnish midfielder, Kauko, played a pivotal role in Mohun Bagan SG's victories against FC Goa and NorthEast United FC, showcasing his significant influence on the team. However, his standout performance came in the match against NorthEast United FC, where Kauko displayed his creative skills. He provided three assists, orchestrating the game and effectively running the show for the Mariners. His instrumental contribution in that game rightfully earned him the Player of the Match award.

Sanan Mohammed, Jamshedpur FC

The 19-year-old winger showcased one of his standout performances of the season, making a significant impact on the game. Iker Guarrotxena, Mumbai City FC

Guarrotxena, who recently joined the Islanders during the winter transfer window, has made a significant impact in the short time since his arrival. Despite having played only three matches so far, the 31-year-old Spaniard is emerging as a key player for Mumbai City FC. In Matchweek 15, he played a crucial role in securing two victories against East Bengal FC and Bengaluru FC.

Guarrotxena's influence was particularly notable in the match against East Bengal FC, where he scored the lone goal of the game. This marked his first ISL goal for the Islanders, earning him the well-deserved Player of the Match award. In the subsequent game against Bengaluru FC, although he didn't find the scoresheet himself, Guarrotxena was instrumental in creating chances for his team. Additionally, he provided a crucial assist for Singh, showcasing his versatility and playmaking abilities.

Wilmar Jordan Gil, Punjab FC

The Colombian striker has proven to be a formidable force in Punjab FC's attacking lineup. Gil showcased his goal-scoring prowess by netting a brace against Kerala Blasters FC, playing a crucial role in securing a significant victory for his team in Kochi. In the subsequent game against Jamshedpur FC, although he was unfortunate not to find the back of the net despite getting on the end of clear chances created by his teammates, Gil still put up a commendable performance in the attacking line.

Dimitri Petratos, Mohun Bagan SG

Petratos had a standout performance during Matchweek in the ISL, making significant contributions to his team's success. He showcased his ability to perform in big game by finding the back of the net in both, securing crucial victories for his side in their pursuit of the League Shield. Petratos not only excelled in scoring but also played a vital role in creating key chances for his team, both from open play and set-pieces.
