The Gaurs are the first team to score 250 goals in the league and Carlos Pena's men are on the brink of claiming the bragging rights of being the first team to score 300 goals as they sit just two goals shy of the record. On the other hand, Mumbai City FC are four goals away from scoring 250 goals in the Hero ISL history, looking to become only the second team to achieve the feat after FC Goa.

The Goan side also holds the record for scoring the most goals in a single league season with the team scoring 51 goals in the 2019-20 season. The Islanders just sit four goals shy of breaking the record with already scoring 48 goals in the league so far.

The Islanders have scored 48 goals so far, this is the most goals scored by a team in the league stage of a single Hero ISL season. Both teams have also scored numerous goals against each other with FC Goa scoring 39 goals against Mumbai City FC, the 2nd most goals they have scored against a team. While the Islanders have 29 goals against FC Goa, the joint most they have scored against a Hero ISL opposition.

If history is anything to go by, expect fireworks at Fatorda on Saturday evening.
