The ability to beat a defender with a smooth dribble is a skill every attacking player cherishes. The Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 season showcased several players who stood out, thrilling the fans with their deft dribbling skills and terrifying their opposite numbers at the same time.

Indian players were not far behind their foreign counterparts in this attribute; in fact, they dominated the foreigners in terms of most dribbles completed in the latest season.

Here are the five players with the most completed dribbles in the 2023-24 season.

1. Madih Talal (Punjab FC) – 42 Dribbles Completed

One of the most eye-catching players this season, French playmaker Madih Talal tops the list. Talal featured in various positions across Punjab FC’s forward line and excelled in each role his coach assigned. The French midfielder impressed fans with his dribbling skills, showcasing exceptional ball control and quick feet. Talal provided agility and flexibility in the Punjab FC midfield. The 26-year-old completed a league-high 42 dribbles this season, besides being the highest assist-provider of the season.

2. Noah Sadaoui (FC Goa) – 37 Dribbles Completed

The Moroccan had another impactful season with the Gaurs, completing 37 dribbles with a success rate of 39.78%. His vision and game awareness proved vital for FC Goa which eventually helped them reach the playoffs after a two-year absence. The 30-year-old also managed to score 11 goals and provide five assists for his team in the league.

3. Lallianzuala Chhangte (Mumbai City FC) – 37 Dribbles Completed

There is hardly any list where this player doesn't feature this season. After a slow start, Chhangte found his form at the right time and helped his side reach their deserved place. The Indian international possesses both speed and composure, allowing him to dribble past the opposition with ease. He is also very effective with his body feints and quick bursts of pace which helped him to outpace the defenders. Chhangte completed 37 of the 80 dribbles he attempted.

4. Jithin MS (NorthEast United FC) – 35 Dribbles Completed

Jithin MS becomes the second Indian player to join the list. Jithin found his best rhythm under Juan Pedro Benali this term after a disappointing campaign during the 2022-23 season. The winger was a menace for the opposition down the left flank, particularly in the second half of the season. His acceleration and change of direction with the ball were difficult for defenders to handle. The 26-year-old completed 35 dribbles this season with a 50% success rate, scoring four goals and providing three assists for his team.

5. Isak Vanlalruatfela (Odisha FC) – 31 Dribbles Completed

Odisha FC’s Mizo winger Vanlalruatfela also makes the cut as one of the best dribblers this season. The 23-year-old was one of the most exciting players to watch for the Kalinga Warriors. Every time he was fed the ball in the opposition half, he created opportunities for his team with his quick feet and terrorized opposing players. Vanlalruatfela completed 31 dribbles with a success rate of 51.67%.
