The British footballer, of Pakistani descent, is a product of West Bromwich Albion Academy and well known for being agile and has a good balance. All the way from West Midlands, this 21-year-old lad was ecstatic about playing in the ISL. Nabi said, “I got a call from my agent asking if I was keen and, over the next few years, hopefully I can help attract a lot more Asian lads to the game.” This season, he’ll be sharing duties with Chelsea veteran Florent Malouda, Bengaluru FC recruit Robin Singh and Season 2014 wonder boy Gustavo Marmentini Dos Santos. He couldn’t stop gushing over the presence of the team’s celebrated marquee player and head coach, Roberto Carlos. “Delhi have got a manager who's a football icon. With guys like Florent Malouda and John Arne Riise over there, they're starting to make a louder noise.”Nabi was praised by his Albion manager Tony Pulis, “I'm a big supporter of a young man stepping out of his comfort zone and experiencing another part of the world. I think he will come out of it a better, more mature person.”Despite putting in a compelling performance last season, Delhi Dynamos FC fell short of qualifying for the semi-final stages of Hero ISL 2014, having won 4 and drawn 6 of their 14 games under the tutelage of coach Harm Van Veldhoven. With a new-look this year – even the club’s logo has undergone a complete refresh – the Dynamos are making waves with their signings already.Delhi Dynamos FC open their Hero ISL campaign this year in an away match against 2014 semi-finalists FC Goa, and will look to get off to a winning start.
