ATK Mohun Bagan head coach Juan Ferrando was despondent after the match against Odisha FC ended in a goalless draw in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) on Sunday.

The Mariners conjured multiple shots on goal but fell short of converting any chance against resolute Odisha FC. While Ferrando made it clear that he understood what his team tackled in the last two weeks and expressed hope for upcoming matches.

Juan Ferrando addressed the questions put forward by the media during the post-match press conference.

Here are the excerpts from the press conference:

How frustrating was tonight’s result for you?

I am not happy because our target is to get three points in each game. I understand the feelings everybody has after a lot of days spent inside the room in quarantine. The players were not fresh, a lot of points going against us.

Do you think Odisha FC had a better second half?

My point of view of today was that it was a difficult game. Odisha played a game last Tuesday, they are fresher. When you play, you have a rhythm. At the moment, we have had two trainings, to be honest, some players were out of the quarantine in the last 24 hours. It is difficult with the risk of injuries. The game is very important when you have chances to score.

Liston (Colaco) has scored many goals but do you think his decision making still needs to be worked on?

No, for example, he had two clear chances today. I think it is unlucky, in fact, the keeper was better with good actions which is the truth.

Did you miss Hugo Boumous today?

Hugo can help with some details of the game. Of course, I miss all the players. Today, for example, was more chances with Colaco. It was difficult in the moments with quarantine, injuries and a lot of other points. All the players were hardworking on the pitch. They tried to do their best which is good.

Kolkata Derby is your next match, how will you prepare for it?

Now the most important thing is a good recovery. I hope all the players are out of their room, finishing their quarantine. Step by step, day by day we will see.
