The fifth edition of the Reliance Foundation Young Champs (RFYC) Final Selection Camp will kick off at the academy facilities in Navi Mumbai on Friday. The camp, which will conclude on May 7, will see 56 youngsters, cherrypicked by RFYC scouts from across the country, vying to be a part of the new class of the prestigious RFYC academy. The first residential academy to achieve 4 stars under the All India Football Federation (AIFF) academy accreditation programme, RFYC is regarded as the premier elite youth residential academy in India.

The youngsters started arriving at the venue on Thursday and starting from Friday, will go through a range of carefully-designed drills, workshops and practice sessions under the watchful eyes of Head of Youth Mark Vaessen and other academy technical staff. They will also participate in various 4v4, 7v7 and 11v11 tournaments over the course of the camp. Selected players will be given the opportunity to become a part of the RFYC academy.

The previous four editions of the camp have established the event as possibly the country's biggest platform for budding footballers to boost their progress by seizing the opportunity to become a part of the premier youth development programme in India and this year will be no different.
