Hero Indian Super League 2014 champions Atlético de Kolkata continued their recruitment drives for their grassroots development programme in the Seoraphuli Baidyabati Sports and Park Association Ground and the Haripal High School Ground (Lotus Club) on February 19 and 21 respectively.The age group for this programme was under-14 with players born on January 1, 2002 or after being eligible for selection. The programme held on February 19 had 228 enthusiastic participants, while the programme held on February 21 had as many as 210.The coaches involved in both the programs were Mr Bastab Roy ("A" License holder), Mr Barun Sengupta ("B" License holder), Mr Archishman Biswas ("B" License holder), Mr Aditya Chatterjee ("B" License holder) and Mr Biswajit Ghoshal ("C" License holder), with Mr Bastab Roy acting as chief coach.The Seoraphuli Baidyabati Sports and Park Association Ground leg also saw Mr Kuntala Ghosh Dastidar ("A" License holder) aiding the aforementioned group of coaches. They were assisted by Mr Monojit Das who was working as chief registration head. Mr Avishek Bhattacharjee, Mr Rhitam Chatterjee and Mr Chandan Bhowmick were also involved in the registration process.Chairman of Baidyabati Municipal Corporation inaugurated the Seoraphuli Baidyabati Sports and Park Association Ground leg by kicking a ball in the presence of two guests of honour, the MLA and the chairman of Sreerampur Municipality. The local MLA and minister of State (Agriculture), Mr Becharam Manna was the chief guest for the Haripal High School Ground (Lotus Club) leg.The programmes were concluded around 1 pm with approximately 750 guardians present for both legs. Trials also featured the hopefuls being segregated into groups depending on if they were born on or after 2004 and 2005. More than 80 participants were present in this category for the Seoraphuli Baidyabati Sports and Park Association Ground leg, whereas the Haripal High School Ground (Lotus Club) leg had 65 participants in this category. The final selection list from every coach was handed over to Mr Bastab Roy who will oversee the short-listing of the final list.
