In-form Bengaluru FC will be on the road when they play against Kerala Blasters FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi on Monday. The Blues have started their Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2018-19 campaign in superb fashion claiming 10 points from a possible 12, and they will be hoping to clinch another three against an unbeaten Kerala side.

A day prior to the much-awaited fixture, Bengaluru head coach Carles Cuadrat was present at the pre-match press conference to share his thoughts on the match. The media began proceedings by asking Cuadrat about his team's good defensive stats even after the departure of Subhasish Bose and John Johnson, to which the Spaniard said, “Of course, the loss of Johnson and Subhashish makes a big problem that you have to prepare for because they are very good players. Subhasish plays in the national team, and about Johnson, we all know what he can give in the team.”

“But I’m very happy with the way the boys are working, and they are doing a very good job. Until now I’m very happy with the intensity in the defence. Also, we have conceded only 3 goals in 4 games. Two of them were against Jamshedpur which came in the moment of the game when we were very tired, and we made some mistakes. But in general, I think they are working very well,” he added.

Cuadrat also shared his thoughts about Bengaluru's next opponents and said, “I think that they are competing very well. I think they have been unlucky to have some draws because some of those draws could be victories. They are a very strong team. It’s extremely difficult to score against them. In the attack, they have some good players who give a lot to the team. They are unbeaten for a reason and it’s going to be difficult to get some points here.”

The Bengaluru boss concluded by giving injury updates. He said, “Everyone is ready for the game tomorrow. We have no problems.”
