Chennaiyin FC will begin their campaign in the Group Stage of the AFC Cup 2019 in April. The two-time Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) champions have been drawn in Group E alongside Hero I-League side Minerva Punjab FC, Nepal's Manang Marshyangdi Club and Abahani Limited Dhaka from Bangladesh.

John Gregory’s men will continue to play their home fixtures at The Arena by TransStadia in Ahmedabad, the same venue where they knocked out Colombo FC in the second leg of the qualifiers earlier this month to seal their spot in the group stages of the continental competition.

Chennaiyin will be playing three back-to-back home matches before venturing into their away fixtures. Their first encounter will be on April 3 against fellow Indian side Minerva Punjab. On April 17, Chennaiyin will host Manang Marshyangdi Club, before rolling out the red carpet for Abahani Limited Dhaka on April 30.

Their away fixtures begin on May 15 with a trip to Dhaka to face Abahani. The return leg against Minerva will take place on June 19 at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. A trip to Kathmandu, Nepal, to face off against Manang Marshyangdi on June 26 will conclude their group stage engagements.
