Delhi Dynamos FC will host table toppers Bengaluru FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday. Currently on a four-match unbeaten run, the Lions will go into the fixture full of confidence and will look to get one over the Blues.

Bengaluru have looked vulnerable of late and lost their last outing against Chennaiyin FC. However, Delhi head coach Josep Gombau stressed that the slight slump in Bengaluru's form will have little bearing on Sunday's encounter. "Bengaluru are a very good side and they have qualified for the final four as well. They have quality players and a few bad results don’t take away from how good they have been this season. It will be a tough match and we hope to give them a good fight," he said.

Asked about the team's biggest positive takeaway from the season so far, Gombau stated, "I think the young players like Nandhakumar Sekar, Lallianzuala Chhangte, Vinit Rai, Daniel Lalhlimpuia etc have all performed really well and have grown over the course of the season. That is a big positive even though the results haven’t gone in our favour."

"We have also played good football and I’m pleased with that. We want to play attractive football and it’s good to see the Indian players adapt so well to the style of play," he added.

Chhangte recently returned from Norway after a brief trial with Viking FK. Gombau, however, revealed that the winger will be playing a part in Sunday's encounter against Bengaluru. "Chhangte will be available for the match and I’m happy to have him. He’s a good young player and even though he has just joined us and hasn’t had the number of training sessions we would’ve wanted him to have, but he is a good player who is in form and I’m confident he will be in the right state of mind for this match," the Spaniard revealed.

Gombau also provided a last-minute injury update and informed, "There are a few niggles but we have a good squad depth and I’m confident that the players that play today will give their best. We have a good squad and all players are motivated to give their best."
