Delhi Dynamos FC face FC Pune City in their last match of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2017-18 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on Friday. The Lions are unbeaten in their last five games, even though their start to the season was unimpressive. However, a bright spark for them throughout has been their young winger Nandhakumar Sekar, who already has a goal and three assists to his name in his debut season. Prior to the match, the 22-year-old spoke to the indiansuperleague.com about his experience and more. Here are the excerpts.

How did it feel to score in the last match?

I was really happy to get on the scoresheet. I was very excited. I was injured for a while, so I was not part of the playing eleven. But I am very happy to score after I came back.

What do you think is the reason for Delhi’s recent form?

We have no pressure. We are all very motivated; from the players to the team management. That is why we have this form.

How does it feel to play well?

It is very good. We are playing really well as a team.

How has the experience with the foreign players been?

We learn a lot from the foreign players. We get to know a lot about things on and off the field.

How is it playing alongside some of the youngsters like Lallianzuala Chhangte and Vinit Rai?

The youngsters have brought a lot of intensity to the field. The communication is great and we are really happy with that.

Your thoughts on Matias Mirabaje?

We are all very happy with him. He has scored two very crucial goals recently and is an inspiration. As a player, he is very skilled and very quick. His first touch is also very good.

Your thoughts on the upcoming match against Pune?

We will go for the win. We are playing really well and we need to give a hundred percent.
