ATK and Eugeneson Lyngdoh have mutually agreed to part ways, the club announced on Thursday. The midfielder joined ATK back in 2017, but only managed 8 Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) appearances for the Kolkata-based side.

Lyndoh, a former Shillong Lajong FC and Rangdajied United player, rose to prominence after signing for Bengaluru FC back in 2014. He hit the ground running for the Blues, helping the team win the 2014–15 Federation Cup. He was named both Bengaluru's Fans' and Players' Player of the Year for the season and also bagged the Hero I-League Midfielder of the Year, the Football Player Association of India (FPAI) Player of the Year and the All India Football Federation (AIFF) Player of the Year awards that season.

Eugeneson made his debut for the India national team on 12 March 2015 in a 2018 FIFA World Cup pre-qualifier against Nepal and soon established himself as a mainstay in the Blue Tigers' midfield. He went on to win the Hero I-League 2015-16 title with Bengaluru and followed it up with the 2016-17 Federation Cup trophy.

His first taste of the Hero ISL came back in 2015 when he was loaned out to FC Pune City. Lyngdoh's first campaign turned out to be a productive one as he scored two and assisted two more in 10 appearances. His second season with the Stallions was, however, cut short by injuries and he made just three appearances.

Lyngdoh penned a long-term deal with two-time Hero ISL champions ATK ahead of the 2017-18 season, but managed very little game time due to recurring injuries and lack of form.
