ATK announced on Tuesday that the club have completed the capture of 32-year-old Australian international, Dario Vidošić. In doing so, the attacking forward has become the third former A-League player to join up with the Kolkata-based club ahead of the Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2019-20 season.

Born in Croatia, Vidošić moved Down Under at a very early age, following which he attended school and played with the Queensland Lions in his youthful days. Five years later and in 2006, the winger signed his first senior professional contract with the Brisbane Roar. He made 17 appearances for the club, scoring five goals and then moving to Germany and former Bundesliga outfit, FC Nürnberg.

The winger stayed for four years in the country, representing Nürnberg for two seasons and heading out on loan to MSV Duisburg and then, Arminia Bielefeld in his final campaign in Germany. He played more than 50 times during that period and scored five goals.

Vidošić returned to Adelaide United in 2011, enjoying what was one of the best phases of his career. He scored 15 times in 51 outings, after which he moved to Swiss top-flight club, Sion. There Vidošić again earned substantial minutes and starts, while finding the back of the net on eight occasions. In the next three years, the Australian represented a trio of teams from different countries, beginning with Western Sydney Wanderers and then, Liaoning F.C and Seongnam FC.

The winger found his way back to Australia with Wellington Phoenix in 2017, making ten appearances for them that season. Signing for Melbourne City in December that year, Vidošić turned out for the club 34 times, scoring eight goals in all competitions.

On an international level, the winger has played for almost all the teams of Australia, right from the Under-20s to the senior team. His debut for the Socceroos came in a World Cup qualifier against Japan in June 2009. Overall, Vidošić has played 23 times and scored two goals for the Socceroos.
