FC Goa grabbed maximum points at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi by defeating the hosts Kerala Blasters FC 2-1 in Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2017-18 on Sunday. CK Vineeth restored parity after Ferran Corominas’ opener, but Edu Bedia broke the Blasters’ defence again to score the winner. The hosts’ young defender Lalruatthuara along with the rest of the backline tried to control the Gaurs’ formidable attack but fell short. The 23-year-old spoke to indiansuperleague.com shortly after the final whistle. Here are the excerpts.

Your thoughts on the match?

It was a difficult match and Goa played very well. But we also missed a number of chances.

Why do you think Kerala conceded those two goals?

The second one from the corner, especially, was due to miscommunication. We didn't take our man, didn't mark our man and it was a mistake.

Do you think it's difficult for Kerala now to make it to the top four?

We will try our best in the coming matches and hopefully, we can make it to the top four.

You are starting a lot of games for Kerala. How do you feel about it?

Yes, we have a really good team with a good team spirit and good support.
