Hyderabad FC head coach Manuel Marquez was pleased with the way his team executed their game plan as they returned to the top spot after defeating SC East Bengal 4-0 in Match 70 of the Hero Indian Super League at the Tilak Maidan Stadium in Vasco, Goa, on Monday.

Golden boot contender Bartholomew Ogbeche (21', 44', 74') scored a sensational hat-trick to extend his lead in the goalscoring charts and Aniket Jadhav (45+1') added one to help Hyderabad FC win big.

The Nizams kept their clean sheet in this match and secured important three points. With this win, HFC moved to the top of the league standings with 20 points from 12 games.

Marquez addressed the media after the game.

Here are the excerpts from his post-match press conference:

You said this would be a difficult game. Did SC East Bengal made it easy for you?

No, We were very clinical today. If you look at the scoresheet it seems easy game. But it's true, the moment we were winning 1-0 and they were attacking. But we created more chances than SCEB, especially in the first half.

Do you think your defense was not tested today?

When you get a clean sheet you are always happy when even they miss a penalty and Laxmikant Kattimani made very good saves. It’s very important if our team concede fewer goals and I am very happy to score four, not three. But if we don't concede goals, for sure we won't lose the game.

Bartholomew Ogbeche scored a hat-trick today. Do you think he’s the best player in the league?

I think he's a very good player with a lot of experience. This is his fourth season in Hero ISL in four different teams and he has scored goals for each team. We are happy that he is playing for Hyderabad FC.
