With their play-off hopes hanging by a thread, Jamshedpur FC will hope to secure a victory over FC Pune City when the two sides lock horns at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Saturday. With 23 points from 15 matches, a win for Jamshedpur would take them to within a point of the top four. With very fine margins to work with, the pressure will be on the Miners to put up a good show.

At the pre-match press conference, head coach of Jamshedpur, Cesar Ferrando shared his thoughts on the encounter and said, "I think Pune are a good team. Out of the last four matches, they won three and drew one. I think our defence have to be very focussed. Marcelo Pereira and a few other players play counter-attacking football sometimes. You lose the ball, you have to stop the counter-attack and then focus on the players. You need to know where they are and stop them. We can’t allow mistakes if we want to win."

Ferrando also had some good news for the Jamshedpur fans and confirmed the imminent comeback of Carlos Calvo and Michael Soosairaj. "Carlos has a chance to be able to play tomorrow. Soosairaj is 50% fit, I think he can be on the bench and he can help us after coming on," he informed.

Pune need to win all their remaining matches to have a mathematical chance of progressing to the play-offs and Ferrando opined that the situation makes the Stallions all the more dangerous. "After the score yesterday, Pune can think that if they win all their matches, they can qualify for the next round. Both teams want to achieve results, but they have a chance to close the gap and I think they are going to try and win tomorrow, like us," he said.

Talking about his own side’s mentality heading into the tie, the Spaniard commented, "What we know for sure is that we have to win tomorrow if we want to be in the top four. The pressure is always there to improve. You always play under pressure if you want to score more goals. The team is working very hard and very well and we are ready to win tomorrow for sure."
