Mumbai City FC attacker Lallianzuala Chhangte has appeared in the vast majority of their Indian Super League games in 2023/2024, making 23 appearances overall and accumulating 1,666 minutes of playing time. He has been selected in the starting XI in 18 of these appearances across their 22 fixtures and entered as a substitute on five occasions. Chhangte last featured in the competition on April 24 for Mumbai City FC versus FC Goa. He scored twice in that game for his club in their 3-2 victory. He has now scored in four Indian Super League appearances in a row. The attacker has netted nine Indian Super League goals this season, which is the eighth highest tally in the competition in 2023/2024, whilst he also ranks joint fifth for Indian Super League assists this season having set up six goals for his team-mates. It was versus Bengaluru FC that Chhangte scored for the first time in the league this season in a 4-0 victory on December 8. Next up in the league for Mumbai City FC - who are in position in the table on points - is a home match against FC Goa on April 29. Chhangte played 22 Indian Super League games last season for Mumbai City FC, scored 10 goals and provided six assists. Chhangte was a Chennaiyin FC player before joining Mumbai City FC on loan in January 2022. He made 53 league appearances in total at Chennaiyin FC, scoring 12 goals and providing two assists. His switch to Mumbai City FC was made permanent in June 2022.
