Sunil Chhetri, the Bengaluru FC attacker, has appeared in the vast majority of the club's Indian Super League matches in 2023/2024, making 20 appearances overall and accumulating 1,529 minutes of playing time. He has been selected in the starting XI in 18 of these appearances across their 22 fixtures and come on as a substitute on two occasions. Chhetri last featured in a competition game on April 11, playing 59 minutes for Bengaluru FC against Mohun Bagan Super Giant in a 4-0 loss. The attacker has netted five Indian Super League goals this season. He has been shown a yellow card once. It was against East Bengal FC on April 7 when Chhetri last scored, netting in a 2-1 defeat. His opening goal of the campaign came in the 2-1 victory against East Bengal FC on October 4. Chhetri played 21 Indian Super League games last season for Bengaluru FC and scored five goals. Chhetri joined Bengaluru FC in January 2017 from Mumbai City FC, for whom he made 17 league appearances in total, scoring seven goals.
