The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has scheduled a first-of-its-kind tri-nation football tournament to be held at the Mumbai Football Arena instead of Chennai as initially planned.The Hero Tri-nation Football Series, as it is called, will be held between 19th and 24th August in which three participating teams – India, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Mauritius – will play once against each other.The men in blue with a FIFA ranking of 97, are clear favourites as compared to St Kitts & Nevis (125) and Mauritius (160), and will use this tournament as a launchpad for their preparations for the AFC Asian Cup Qualifying away match against Macau to be held on 5th September.India has shown red hot form on the international circuit of late, winning 13 of their last 15 matches, including all of their last eight fixtures, a run of form that has rocketed their ranking by an amazing 77 places over the past two years.Following are the fixtures slated for the tournament:• 19th August: India vs Mauritius, 8 PM• 22nd August: Mauritius vs St. Kitts & Nevis, 5.30 PM• 24th August: India vs St. Kitts & Nevis, 8 PMIndia’s matches on the 19th and 24th August will be broadcast LIVE on Star Sports 1, Star Sports 1 HD and Hotstar. The match between Mauritius and St. Kitts & Nevis will be broadcast LIVE on Star Sports 2, Star Sports 2 HD and Hotstar.
