The Mumbai Football Arena, also known as the Andheri Sports Complex, is a multi-purpose sports facility. Established in 1988, the complex has been used for national level sports tournaments like squash, boxing, tennis and karate. It also features an Olympic-size swimming pool and in 2016 was redeveloped to include a football stadium in accordance with FIFA guidelines. One of the prospective venues for the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in 2017, the stadium hosted a celebrity charity match billed as the "Celebrity Clasico 2016" on June 4 earlier this year to generate funds for charity. It has a capacity of 18,000 seats and will be the new home of Mumbai City FC after first two seasons at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
