    The Manipur-born player began his playing career at Royal Wahingdoh in 2005 and helped the club gain promotion to the I-League for the 2014-15 season. In his very first I-League, Jackichand took to the I-League like a duck to water and enthralled one and all with his scintillating dribbling and extensive pace, qualities which helped the debutant Royal Wahingdoh finish 3rd in their first season in the top flight. Jacki scored five goals in 18 appearances including a goal against eventual champions Mohun Bagan in a 3-2 win for Royal Wahingdoh. He was adjudged Player of the Season for the 2014-15 I-League.

    On 12th March 2015, the young winger made his debut for the national team in a friendly against Nepal and consequently went on to feature in all five matches for the Indian national team in the 2018 FIFA WC Qualifiers. He played for FC Pune City in Hero ISL 2015 and scored one of the fastest goals of the league against Atlético de Kolkata.
