    Biography

The mercurial striker from Kasargod hit the headlines when he became joint top-scorer in the I-League after notching up 14 goals for Mahindra United in 2009/10, a feat that saw him voted as FPAI’s best Indian footballer. He also won the Durand Cup and IFA Shield with the Jeepmen.

When the club closed down their football operations he was involved in a highly lucrative transfer to Churchill Brothers but his season was disrupted by a nasty injury. The savvy Rafi has good ball skills, a poacher’s instincts and also a good shot, making him a fearsome forward when on song. Rafi won Hero ISL 2014 with Atlético de Kolkata and has been with Kerala Blasters FC since the second season of the league. He has scored four goals and provided two assists heading into Hero ISL 2016 with the Blasters.
