    A product of the Tata Football Academy, Rino Anto hails from Thrissur, Kerala. In 2008 soon after coming out of the TFA, he joined Mohun Bagan to kick off his professional career. From there he moved to Salgaocar before deciding to join Quartz in the I-League second division. Then followed forays with Mohun Bagan (his second) and Bengaluru FC. He was part of the I-League-winning team Bengaluru FC for whom he also played in the AFC Champions League qualifiers and in the AFC Cup. Anto also featured in the Bengaluru’s Federation Cup win in 2015. National coach Stephen Constantine had his eye on this sturdy young man for the World cup qualifiers against Nepal but injuries let him down. However, he made his debut against Oman in June 2015.

    In the 2015 ISL auction, Anto was sold for Rs 90 lakh to Atlético de Kolkata, a staggering 414% increase (highest increase) on his base price of Rs 17.5 lakh. He will be donning the unmistakeable yellow jersey of Kerala Blasters FC in Hero ISL 2016.
