Kerala Blasters FC played out a second successive goalless draw at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi in Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2017-18, this time against league debutants Jamshedpur FC. With two points now, the Blasters are sixth in the table. Speaking to indiansuperleague.com post-match was their right-back Rino Anto. Excerpts from the interview:

Another clean-sheet, you must be happy with that?

No, we’re not happy because we thought we’d win the match. It’s a home game, but it’s okay, we didn’t concede any goal.

Is there some good chemistry in defence? You all seem to be clicking and gelling together well?

Now we’re getting stronger. If you look at the match, you can see the possession. Maybe it’s higher than Jamshedpur.

A word on your goalkeeper?

He made two good saves. He’s very comfortable holding the fort!

Why do you think there is an inability to score upfront? What needs to change?

We’re trying hard up front, but we aren’t getting our scoring chances. In the next few matches, we’ll try harder.

Any positives to take from today’s game? The defence was very solid.

We’ll check the video clips and be prepared for the next match.

Just a last word on your fellow defender, Sandesh Jhingan?

He’s a very good defender, he has a bright future.
