MOMENTS OF THE WEEK

Jamshedpur FC get their first ever league win, then succumb to first ever defeat

Hero ISL debutants Jamshedpur FC have the best defensive record, and they also picked a first league victory after edging the Lions by a solo goal in Delhi. Izu Azuka went down in the record books as the team’s first-ever scorer, when his second-half header sealed all three points. However, in their second match of the week against FC Pune City, Subrata Paul conceded for the first time as Adil Khan came away with the winner, consequently inflicting a first defeat on the debutants.

Defending champions still winless

ATK succumbed to their second loss of the season when Chennaiyin FC rode on Jeje Lalpekhlua’s brace, opening his season’s account in this match, to win a five-goal thriller. The 3-2 defeat means ATK are still winless after playing four games.

Miku scores season’s 50th ISL goal

Bengaluru FC bounced back from the setback against FC Goa to beat NorthEast United FC 1-0. Miku’s winner was the 50th goal of the season as NorthEast lost their second match of the season.

Ferran Corominas bags second successive and league’s fastest ever hat-trick

FC Goa routed Kerala Blasters FC 5-2, as Spaniard Ferran Corominas bagged a second-half hat-trick. Three goals within a span of seven minutes (48th, 51st and 55th) meant that it was the league’s fastest-ever hat-trick and also the first time a player has scored the same in consecutive matches.
