Hailing from Noida, UP, Robin Singh played football and cricket as a child, although at age 13 he made a choice to take up football for good, something Indian football would no doubt be grateful for. Blessed with good height and a sweet left foot, he could be a nightmare for opposition defences.
A product of the Chandigarh & Tata football academy, he was snapped up by East Bengal in 2010 and after spearheading victories in the Federation Cup (2010 & 2012) amongst others, Robin shifted to Bengaluru FC in 2013 and an I-League premiership followed in 2013/14.
Robin Singh has represented the national team at under-16, under-23 and senior levels. His first international goal came in his fourth match against Chinese Taipei. One of the biggest domestic signings for Delhi in Hero ISL 2015, Singh ended the season as their top scorer with four goals and also scored on his debut. FC Goa fans will be waiting with bated breath to see if Singh can lead them to glory in Hero ISL 2016.
